Just a benchmark in with the new R5 Grey material
24/Januar/2012 11:51 nachm.
Please have a look at this tiny gothic cathedral. The high is about 15 mm, smallest details and wall-thickness is only 0,1 mm! Z-resolution was set to 50 microns

R5 Gray is an accurate and functional resin for producing robust and durable parts. The material offers distinguished chemical resistance and a good balance of properties between rigidity and functionality. R5 Gray is ideal for creating master patterns in molding applications and is suitable for electrical housings, medical products, snap-fit parts, jewelry products, consumer products, and automobile applications.

Iflex 500 - flexible, rubber-like material
24/Januar/2012 11:36 nachm.
The Iflex 500 produces soft rubber-like parts with great tear resistance and UV stability over a prolonged period of time. Water absorption is minimal and when properly light post cured, the part can be used for underwater applications. The Iflex 500 has great memory retention and impressive elongation at break.

New HTM140 - High Temperature Mold Material
24/Januar/2012 11:30 nachm.
With a heat deflection temperature of 140°C straight out of the machine, high definition parts printed in HTM140 can be directly vulcanized in rubber, eliminating the need for a metal master. It is designed to withstand both the heat and pressure of vulcanizing the model in rubber with incredible detail and no loss of dimensional stability. It can also be used in a variety of applications that require thermal resistance such as items to be metallized or tested for hot air and hot water applications. To add to its versatility, another use is for low temperature tools for injection molding.

10mm scaled full-body-scans from Artec

Some more EC500 casting results
03/September/2011 04:49 nachm.
Here are some more casting results in silver. Build in 15 micron resolution with 35 micron layer thickness by using EC500 resin for direct investment casting. The lace pattern on the creole earrings is between 100 and 200 micron thick.

EC500 resin for direct investment casting
26/August/2011 03:49 nachm.
We made some tests with Envisiontec´s newest resin for direct investment casting „EC500 Easycast“ with really amazing results. The smallest features on this 2:1 scale fly are about 200 microns. We build with a layer thickness of 20 microns. The casting results in silver are smooth and with no problems on expansion, ash residue and anything else. Just really smooth surfaces in metal.
